For decades, Beverly Westergren connected verbally. All day, every day. Most of those years were spent singing onstage or speaking in front of a classroom. She delivered stories, lessons and songs adapting them to diverse audiences in multiple contexts. Her collaboration with musicians, educators and many other colleagues makes her ready to work well with your team. Beverly knows how to communicate your story, vision, brand and mission.

Raised in the American Midwest, her default dialect is neutral North American. Beverly loves to travel, and she brings that experience to her work as a professional voice actor. Because she also works as a singer, she is comfortable pronouncing

Musician
“Yes, you can take flute lessons but you can’t quit piano.” Beverly’s parents told when she was ten years old.This, after already studying piano for four years. In her late teens, they said it again when she wanted to study voice. She tested out of the keyboard requirement at conservatory and hasn’t regretted her parents’ advice. As a piccolo player, there were many orchestra rehearsals with little to do. Beverly used the time to study scores of the piece being rehearsed. Sometimes she helped by joining the percussion session. All of these experiences helped Bev cultivate excellent sight reading skills, which transfers well into her Voice Acting work.
Singing
Beverly was born a singer, and can’t stop singing. Her high, silvery voice could be heard regularly at Cathedral of the Holy Name and in Chicagoland Opera/Musical Theatre productions. She was especially sought out for her ability to sing the works of living composers such as Hendryk Gorecki, Dominick Argento, Richard Proulx and William Ferris. She continues to use her music reading skills, filling in at the last minute for conductors in need.
Educator
Being raised by a teacher nurtured Bev to be a great communicator. Her decades of experience as a public school teacher means she’s organized, and can anticipate the needs of her clients. She knows how to adapt her teaching to different age groups and cultures.She is especially proud of the work she did with neurodivergent students. She also enjoyed teaching International Baccalaureate Music. In addition, Beverly also taught Studio Voice, Sight Singing, and Musical Theatre Production at the University Level.
Bev still enjoys being around children and can think like a kid!
